Commitment. Settlement dollars are public funds dedicated to opioid abatement. We document the basis for every decision, publish the materials required to verify those decisions, and report results on a defined schedule.
What we make public. We post the request for proposals (RFP), eligibility language, timeline, and scoring guidance. After awards, we publish City Council approvals, contracted amounts and terms, and plain-language summaries of funded activities. Spending summaries and outcome updates are released at regular intervals, with dashboards maintained on the Success Metrics page.
How decisions are made. Proposals are read in two rounds—first redacted to evaluate ideas on their merits, then in full to assess delivery capacity and safeguards. A standard rubric is applied; clarifications, site visits, or interviews may be requested. Recommendations proceed to City Council for a public vote.
Records and stewardship. Each award carries a brief decision note tying the determination to published criteria and community need. Disbursements follow contract terms linked to deliverables and reporting; expenditures are tracked against approved categories to ensure they remain within abatement scope. Material changes to scope or budget are documented and re-approved as required.
Verification and inquiries. Current RFPs, scoring materials, award approvals, decision notes, spending summaries, and performance updates are posted on this site. Process questions and records requests can be submitted through the listed contact channel and are handled under applicable open-records policies.
